The Sonophilia Foundation supports scientific research on creativity and helps make new findings accessible to a wider public.
We connect researchers across disciplines, support promising work, and create public formats in which research can inform practice and conversation.
Research stipends
Sonophilia research stipends support researchers whose work advances the scientific understanding of creativity.
Selection is guided by scientific quality, relevance to the Foundation’s purpose, and the potential to contribute to wider public understanding.
Scientific direction
The Foundation’s Scientific Board is being established to provide scientific direction and select future stipend recipients.
Its composition, operating rules, new calls, and application requirements will be announced separately and published here when available.
Previous support
Past stipend recipients and supported researchers have worked on insight problem-solving, improvisation, collective creativity, citizen science, learning, and the neuroscience of creativity.
